As local residents, you may well be aware of major road works being undertaken around the vicinity of our school. This begins on Monday, 22 May and will continue for the duration of the 2023+ year.
Of note is the stretch of Kaipatiki Road between the Stanley Road roundabout and the Easton Park Parade roundabout where one lane only will be in use. Cars will only be able to travel TOWARDS Glenfield.
Please consider this information and discuss with your children alternate drop-off and pick-up points and locations for bus travel.
Scenarios to consider are:
- Kaipatiki Road, heading down the hill from the Glenfield Mall end, may become a bottleneck of traffic with cars only being able to turn right into Easton Park Parade or go around the roundabout and head back up Kaipatiki Road. You might like to consider choosing an alternative and safer place to drop off and collect your children from school.
- The bus stop outside the tennis courts will not be operational in the afternoons. Students must walk to the bus stop opposite The Orchards Retirement Home on Stanley Road where the buses have been re-routed to.
- For the safety of your children, please remind them to follow marked crossings on Kaipatiki Road during this time.
