Ms Vivian Fan is our HOD Guidance/Counsellor. She is very passionate about advocating for the youth of today and ensuring they have the best opportunities and experiences at Glenfield College. She is professionally trained and a registered member of New Zealand Association of Counsellors. She abides by the ‘NZAC Code of Ethics’ when providing professional counselling service, which includes upholding confidentiality unless there is an imminent risk to safety. She works closely with an extensive network of external agencies, to ensure families are able to access the resources available within our community.
Our HOD Guidance/Counsellor also leads our student Peer Support Leaders in delivering the Peer Support Programme to our new Year 9 new students. The programme module includes:
