Glenfield College Sport Code of Conduct

Glenfield College has high standards for participation in sport, supported by professional coaches. We expect all students, coaches, supporters, and spectators to act in ways that enhance the College’s positive reputation and reflect our commitment to our students and the wider community.

This Code of Conduct exists to promote fairness, enjoyment, and positive experiences for all involved in school sport. The conduct of all teams and individuals must, at all times, reflect The Glenfield Way.

Coaches & Supporters: Code of Conduct

Coaches and supporters play a vital role in creating a positive sporting environment. They are expected to:

• • Use appropriate language and behaviour at all times
  • Act as positive role models who inspire confidence in students
  • Be reasonable and fair in their expectations of players
  • Encourage skill development, effort, and enjoyment of sport
  • Praise positive performances and attitudes
  • Show respect for all players, officials, and opposing teams
  • Be firm and fair
  • Encourage participation within the rules of the game
  • Allow players to play and learn, rather than directing every action
  • Display self‑control on the sideline and set a positive example
