Yesterday, students from the Northern Region Services Academy graduated at St Pauls College in front of hundreds of family, friends and the New Zealand Defence Force Staff. Joshua Richmond and Holly Sievert spoke on behalf of all the Services Academy students, with Josh speaking about lessons and values learnt including Comradeship, Commitment, Courage and Stoicism. Holly spoke about how the Physical Fitness programme had strengthened students both mentally and physically and how all teamwork had been strengthened. Shiva Swamy was awarded top student for Glenfield College and Devante Sione-Makapa was awarded most improved academy student for Glenfield College. The graduation parade culminated in a spine-tingling haka with Glenfield College Services Academy students performing with absolute mana, pride and respect. Thank you to all parents who have supported the services academy and students through 2019. Well done to all of the Service Academy students.
